Now i believe that thumb rings are illegal in GNAS shooting. However, not actually knowing what constitutes a thumb ring, I think the only stipulation is Rule 206.e.i, which says hand protection must not "incorporate any device to hold, draw and release the string". Clear as mud as usual.

Having looked at Huffy's link and seen where the string is held, what is the purpose of the groove in a thumb ring, if the string is not held in it?
