Good suggestion DaveA, I shot one recently very nice, smooth to draw and fast especially with the carbon foam limbs and your bound to get good personal customer service.

i recently returned to the sport and had a similar decision to make. I decided to get the package deal from quicks as it included everything. I chose the Winstar II riser and 34# limbs. Since then i have gained my third class and am one score away from second, so the bow seems to work pretty well. I was considering a more expensive riser (hoyt, seb flute etc.) as i reasoned that it would last forever, however the winstar seems very well put together and i expect it to last. I have the challenger limbs which also seem fine for the moment. I intent to upgrade these next season when i replace my XX75's with some ACC's (don't tell my wife). If you do want to spend more money look at the sight you buy - Q sight a lillte rattley!!!

I'm assuming then, that your local shop is Aardvark. When you get there take time to try out the different risers. When we first started both my wife and I went there with the aim of buying one of their 'intermediate' packages. I stuck with the Winstar II (and got to Bowman before upgrading) but my wife spent over an hour just selecting the riser and opted for a Hoyt Eclipse for the feel of the riser and grip (cost more but Les simply added the cost difference the package price).
