Tiller Locking Screw

I've lost a tiller locking screw from my hoyt matrix. The hole is around 7/16", but I don't know what the thread type is - any ideas?

cheers
John

Someone in our club had this problem with a Nexus. The shop that sold it to him (not his local shop) would not help despite it only being about 6 months old.

In the end he contacted Hoyt directly and they sent him 4 so he had some spares.

Nice to see Hoyt doing the right thing, I think the shop could have done better.

If you are still struggling to get one, drop me a PM, and I will ask him exactly where and how he contacted Hoyt

Hoyt did the same thing for me with a pair of Vectors.

If it's 7/16 I think the thread will be "UNF" (fine) as apposed to "UNC" (coarse)

go to a good old fashiond hardware store (the type with little boxes of odds and ends) and you will be looking at a few pence

Just emailed my contact. If I can get details before you find them another way, I will pass them on....

I have a Matrix too, so may be looking to add a spare to my toolkit.

Hoyt does not respond to e-mail. I called their customer service number and got immediate help.

Dave Hi
that's ok when you live in Arizona - from the UK the phone call would cost 10 times more than the set screw

However thank you - I'll keep that in mind

I'll try and chanck my Nexus tonight and see what the screw is. Most likely a U.S. standard thread.

thanks to all

Many thanks to all:

Flying Whale especially who has sent me a spare in the post - most grateful

Likewise thanks to Perris Archery who also offered to send one - usefully Andrew also notes that they usually have a few spares around - worth remembering

all round

john

John, I was mostly trying to explain why you hadn't gotten a response to your e-mail...nobody does.
