Angry ArcheryPro review

I am posting this review of Archery Pro so that other prospective customers may be warned about their appalling level customer service.

I have ordered things from Archery Pro in the past. I ordered A recurve sight from them in November 2008 and it arrived a little slower than I would have expected (took a little over a week if I remember correctly), but it arrived. I also order a pair of limbs from them in December which were dispatched and arrived within about 2 days - excellent!

Then at the end of January I ordered a few bit and bobs from them, mostly Beiter nocks, nock points, some arrow shafts and points, some string materials, etc. After about a week or two I called them as the stuff had not arrived. They said they had despatched it, but would make sure to despatch another lot. I called them a week later as nothing had arrived and was told they were chasing the courier company. This went on for a few weeks. Eventually they said they would send everything except the arrow shafts as there were no shafts in stock of the spine I wanted. This order arrived a day later, but only a fraction of the items was delivered.

They aplogised when I called them and said that the other things had not been in stock afterall. Two weeks later I called them again to find out when I would get more of my order delivered - I was told they had just recived some new stock in. A week later and still nothing. I email them to ask for a comitted delivery date and no reply.

Now during all this I phoned them, sometimes several times a day but all I get is the answering machine. My calls have only ever been returned once, even though I was repeatedly told I would be called back. It is very rare to have a person answer the call. Even so, my phone bill to them is over 40 pounds because the phone number is a mobile number. When you do get hold of them they are very reassuring that the order will be delivered and they will sort it all out - but that is just words, the actions do not reflect their promises.

I have asked for a refund of the missing items from my last order, but no response. The credit card company can try to deal with them now, as they are costing me too much time and money for me to try to get anything from them. I have had to buy the missing items from other companies - will post reviews about those companies here too, but neither Clickers nor Quicks have given me any trouble and have delivered next day.

Avoid ArcheryPro like the plague. Their service is terrible. Go you your local supplier if you can or stick with the companies that want to provide you with good service.

I would have to agree with this. I wanted to order an item that they seemed to be the only uk supplier for (i.e. a regular item but no-one else stocks). Having heard a few rumbling about them I was concerned but called them up and got straight through and the guy said not in stock but could get in a week.

So I ordered. A week later they sent an email saying a supplier had let them down and it would be a little longer. Three more weeks pass and no news. So I start to call them and all I get it the O2 messaging service which is always full so you cannot leave a message. So I start to email and no responses.

Finally on Monday I email them marked urgent saying that I will hand the matter over to my bank if they don't process a refund in the next 48 hours (oh yes they take the money straight away too). No reply to email but item arrive in post yesterday - a weird co-incidence.

So a tricky one - rubbish customer service from a comms point of view but they did get the item for me. However, I did spend a lot of time thinking perhaps I had been scammed.

I won't order from them again - but would love to know what is going on.

I'll say it again for the benefit of those that didn't see it when posted before. Please keep all retail reviews to their relevant section in the links directory. That way, when people are using the links directory they can read the reviews before clicking the link.

Thank you.
