Have you set up the junior member correctly?
Does the error relate to an age group change (ie a birthday has occured which takes the junior into another age group)

A screenshot of the error might help

Steve
The error occurs when inputing Senior info...not tried with junior

The exact error is "Table8: Field 'Age' not found"

The system then takes the entry, but it doesn't show up on any of the reports.

I did notice that the indoor clasification input screen doesn't have an Age field ie. senior/junior ect....could this be the root of the problem. The outdoor section allows you to specify whether the classification is for a particular age range.

Hi darthTer - out of curiosity does your copy have a version number? Just wondering if the version I have has been updated and the problem you're having has been introduced with the newer version.

I'm running V2.2 and have been for a while - no problems with h'cap/classification indoor or outdoors senior or junior. My scores go back to 2004.

Forgot a big thank you to Joe for making my life a lot easier.

Darthter,

As far as I can remember, I transferred the club records (from the previous system) before I started to record new scores. The system does prompt you if a score you enter exceeds an existing club record.

Have you populated the indoor club records yet?

I am also using version 2.2

The "date leniency" was about being friendly to the Millennium Bug (which indicates how old, and obsolete, this software is (written for Windows 95 for those old enough to remember it).

There is a slight problem with Junior club records. With auto logging of new records these use the individual junior age i.e. Junior-Under 12 or whatever whereas clubs, counties and GNAS (unfairly in my view) just have a single "junior" class.

My (club records officer) approach in the days I did this was to dump all flagged new junior records into the records database and periodically have a tidy up deleting the irrelevant ones and with genuine new ones delete the old one and convert the Junior-Under... to Junior.

Another tip is if you want to record Non GNAS shooting in the system and associated records then create appropriate bow types for them e.g. Frostbite_recurve. Recorded Frostbite, Field and Clout in this way (making a rod for your own back comes to mind).

What's wanted is a web based system (probably more future proof). Currently at a half way house with my own club. Wrote a couple of ".exes" to generate all the relevant php scripts and performance graphs from the PC system so all the records officer web pages updates are done by button push and FTP.

Not aware of any actual "bugs" having thrashed the software to death over many years as RO with dozens of ***** juniors to cater for. Errors can be user generated by not putting stuff in or putting incorrect stuff in.

My system seems to be developing more and more of these as I get wiser.

Looks like this was something that I was googling for, hang on rephrase that!

I am googling at the moment to try to find a download to enable our club records officer to do his job, our last one decide to buy a programme that allowed one user and the silly person registered it to their own email address so we can no longer use it!! Brain /Peas

Anyhow is there any way that I could get a copy of this to enable the club to keep a record of our scores?

Hope thats clearer LOL Need to be face to face with people to make myself understood I think
