All I can say to this is that I had the same problem. However WHEN I actually got to speak to them they told me that the supplier they were using had been mucking them around and had considerably delayed some orders, sent some incomplete orders and lots of the wrong item. I also got sent an email:

Dear Customer,

I am sending you this email to personally apologise for the delay in despatching your order. Whilst this is entirely due to circumstances outside our control I can sympathize with the frustration of not receiving goods on time that you have already paid for. Rest assured that I have already taken action, and endeavour to despatch your order to you within the next 10 days. Please also note that we will never again use the European Supplier that has so badly let us down.

Regards,

The guy I spoke to sounded really gutted, and he said that they were swapping suppliers, but as they were having to start from scratch with the new supplier, it all had to be paid for in advance etc. He said that in one week alone they had lost £2000 of orders due to this supplier.

I did eventually get my order, a month from the original orderdate and they were incredibly apologetic.

I wont be using them again, but sometimes its not totally the actual shop's fault.

Does ArcheryPro still exist! I received a part order for full length feathers that I ordered back in March and still waiting for the rest as they stated ages ago they were waiting for suppliers. I have dealt with feather suppliers in the US several times since (Bullseye and 3Rivers) and had excellent speedy and courteous service. It seems ArcheryPro have ripped me off and won't be using them again. I have sent another email reminding them they still owe me but I'm not holding my breath!

I've been waiting for replies from Archery-Pro to 3 e-mails for over 3 months now. Any one reply would have resulted in an order of £1300+. They obviously don't need trivial orders like this !

I've had telephone contact twice they couldn't answer my questions at the time but was assured my e-mails would be dealt with as a matter of priority...... obviously a very low priority ..... they have never replied to my e-mails or 'phoned back. I can think of no valid excuse for such poor service !

They continue to advertise with A5 colour brochurs in 'The Bow' but I would prefer to spend my money with dealers who come up with the goods and treat customers properly.

I await any response from Archery-Pro with baited breath..... meanwhile will happily spend my money with dealers who give a damn !!!!!

Archery-Pro seemed to start off on the wrong foot.
They had this big (?) launch offering "tuning masterclasses" for any coach that would agree to setup and tune new purchases, but they dont seem to have happened.
I was dubious about this "charitable trust" "grow archery" that would donate 5% of purchases back to the club, yet whenever I asked, they had some reason not to give me a registered charity number.
To me, giving archery clubs a discount to buy more equipment didnt sound very charitable.
There was a flyer in the latest ArcheryUk magazine and I noted that there was now a limited list of things clubs could use the money for; things like education and promotion.
Funniest thing was the letter I got telling me that there was £20 in my club's "grow archery" account (you need £25 to access it) when I know for sure none of my club members have spent any money there.

Personally, I do not deal with any web based supplier who does not publish a proper address & telephone number. If they don't admit to having an address then they obviously don't want to take any responsibility or talk to their customers. Don't be fooled by cheap offers & prices, it's worth paying the extra for the assurance that the business is legit!

I agree with you and having checked prices I would doubt their claims for "Best Price, Service and Support" particularly with all the posts on this forum to reinforce the less than acceptable response to customers.

There are several well established suppliers whose quality of service I have found to be very good. Use the sponsors of this forum - support them as thanks for their input.

Rant? over !!

Mike

As far as I am aware most paymentt system companies will not allow a site to accept money unless a full address and telephone number is displayed on the site. I know RBS Worldpay who we use checked that the address and phone number on our site were legitimate befor they allowed the shop to function.

hmm - when will I learn? If it sounds too good to be true, then that is most likely what it is! Had high hopes for Archery-pro...

Having said that, the ability to sponsor this forum is no guarantee of good service and/or product either.

I guess we are still very much in a 'take your chances' situation.

can't believe people are still chancing their arm with these guys. It is the same story over and over....

would be interesting to hear their side of the story but of course they never reply.

and why is that? you presumably want to build a customer base so surely you would want to answer the negatives and build on the positives....or not?

are they a sponsor of this forum? I've never seen their ad. If they are Dave is it appropriate for you to point them towards these posts?

So anyway, I decide to try the Archerypro website as it gives 5% back to my club and the prices seem reasonable... So I placed my order on monday, I got a call yesterday saying that the item wasnt available, ok I said, let me know if you can get it, if not i'll find something else. - Fair enough.

What isnt right is that im still waiting for a simple answer to the question and the money has been taken out of my account, better yet when I call the number all I get is O2 or Orange answerphones for both numbers Oh and my emails have not been replied to.

I know perhaps It might seem that I havent waited long enough, but surely an email reply or even being able to speak to someone is not to much to ask... or is it? I know they were having problems at Christmas, but archerypro.... its APRIL now, sort it out!

rant o/

We ordered 4 Beiter rest arms and a couple of other bits. waited a while and a while longer. so we rang him he picked up the phone and i said we ordered this stuff his reply was sorry its the european holiday and were not shipping anything out till september sometime. we ordered these in beginning of july!!!!!

dont us this company this is not the first time he has messed us about!

I found all my emails were ignored until I sent one threatening him with small claims court and trading standards if I hadn't received a response or a refund within five working days.

Magically the item arrived the next day.
