Ebay again.

String too long. Perhaps they should take up knitting and make a new one.

And I love the way he helpfully tells us 'It is blue'.

Oh. That's all right then.

Hi All,
This, like several other adverts, does seem very funny to those who know their subject.
In general terms there are some undoubted "Del Boy" types on Ebay who are trying to extract as much money as they can from those whom they probably consider Mugs.
On the other hand, there are and will be an increasing number of genuine people who, because of the monetary system collapse, have to resort to any means they can of raising money just to survive.
I think we should spare those a thought.

To give the seller their due, they do not profess to know much about it, and it looks like the indication of new price is pretty close. Definitely not one of the "professional bow kit" brigade indicating that is worth multi-hundreds of pounds.

Yes, we problably shouldn't mock this person for their well intended auction.

But...

He lists it as a recurve bow. I think I'll send him a message and ask him where the other curves have gone to and do they come with the bow?

I agree he or she could be a pratt but I have to disagree with you about Ebay. I have had quite a few bargains on Ebay. I have bought my grandaughters bows (new) for about half the normal price. Arrows to match for about 1/4 of the shop price. 10 arrows from Merlin with P+P £32. Same arrows on Ebay £23 buy it now. Buyer beware is the answer on Ebay, take your time and compare prices before comitting yourself, don't dismiss it just because you can afford to pay over the odds when you don't need to.

Hi philhoney,
Well said, It is the occasional crooks that are the problem not Ebay itself.

Quite useful to someone who broke their riser and one limb and need replacements. Clubs might also find some use for it even if it is just for the riser, or again for spare parts if they happen to already have a set of the same/similar limbs.
