I made the paper!!!

Woo Hoo! Not a real biggy but I made the paper tonight.

Gazette Live - Sport - Other Sport News - Archery: Andrew hits target with record score

Incase the story changes

(As for the errors I would like to say I didnt tell him to write firing a perfect score and as it was a Worcester round I was on 275 points with 5 arrows to go!)

TEES archer Andrew Frankish is the man with the golden shot.
The 25-year-old from Stockton, currently recovering from shoulder surgery, is the proud county record holder after firing a perfect score of 300.
Earlier this year the Priory Archers Club member beat club Captain and previous record holder Peter Jones’s score of 299 in the Memorial Shoot.
Andrew explained: “I was on 295 points with five arrows to shoot. It was nerve-racking.
“A lot of the club members were behind me all cheering me on, and it was great when I got it.”
The perfect 300 score led to Andrew becoming the Durham and Northumberland Archery Association Gents Compound County Record holder.
What made the record even more remarkable was the fact Andrew had a shoulder injury which needed surgery.
Andrew explained: “I had 70 calcium balls removed from my shoulder. I was in quite a lot of pain.”
Andrew is now recuperating after the operation. He will be unable to take part in any archery for around “three to four months’.
He will be unable to take part in the Teesside Championships that are being held at Priory Archers Club.
He is naturally disappointed to miss out on the event which takes place on September 6, but long-term, it will be better for him not to rush back.
Andrew explained: “I had the pain for quite a while, so when I go back it should be better.”
In a statement to send fear into all opponents, Andrew said after surgery: “In the long-run, the operation will be better for me.”
Any archers interested in competing the Albion Round of the Teesside Championships should check www.prioryarchers.co.uk for entry forms in the next few weeks.

Nice one. Can't trust a reporter to get the technical aspects right all the time.

Well done on the record - that's the important bit.
